A little something that is just starting to open, and will be good for a couple weeks is this rose:

This is one of the darkest-flowered roses from the oldest class of garden roses, the gallicas. 
'Cardinal de Richelieu' is a strong grower and is almost unique among the gallicas for it's intense and most unusual coloring.
